Fiction is dead.

Long live the essay!

I write about being alive in the world.

I am a woman, a reader, an interrogator, a person of faith, and a New Englander, so those themes often show up in my work.

I have an MFA in Creative Writing: Creative Nonfiction from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

Long live the essay!
